Dr. Cora Thompson fervently works to inspire and educate the next generation of teachers. She believes in creating nurturing and challenging environments to foster growth. In the many years that I’ve known her and worked with her, she has been consistent in being an advocate for effective teachers in the classroom and is admired in the community for her collaborative spirit towards achieving these goals in as many training spaces as possible for pre-service teachers. She is one of my very first calls when I’m seeking ways to encourage the heart of a teacher and to build teacher-student experiences and relationships.

Dr. Cora Bragg Thompson, is a dedicated educator whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing over 36 years. We worked collaboratively at Hodge Elementary School where she also served as my son and daughter’s first grade teacher. For many years, she embraced literacy as she taught a multitude of young learners how to read and write in elementary school and now college. As a result of her personal endeavors to succeed, she has assisted and encouraged countless students, colleagues, and professionals to strive to reach their highest educational plateau while achieving their aspired goals and accomplishments.
